Former Cookson FD joins local media giant

FORMER FTSE 250 FD Mike Butterworth has joined multimedia group Johnstone Press as a non-executive director and chair of its audit committee.

Butterworth has held the same two positions at marketing services group St Ives since 2010.

He spent eight years as group finance director at international materials firm and former FTSE 250 company Cookson Group. In 2012 he left the company after Cookson was demerged.

Butterworth was also group finance director of communications group Incepta Group for five years, prior to which he spent five years as group financial controller at aviation and materials technology firm BBA Group.
