RSS feedsGeoffrey Ian Brailey (51), former finance director and Roger Charles Eden, (47), former chief executive, were both sentenced to three years 9 months at Croydon Crown Court yesterday for accounting irregularities at the recruitment services business, designed to overstate profits for 1997 and 1998.
The Serious Fraud Office said: 'The defendants dishonestly caused and permitted the company's financial statements for 1997 to be prepared in such a way as to overstate the true extent of its profitability and that they sought to do so in 1998.'
Unanimous guilty verdicts were returned by the jury against the two yesterday on each of the two counts on the indictment, to run concurrently.
They were both disqualified from acting as company directors for 8 years.
John Abrahamson, former company secretary at CSG, was acquitted last month.
