SIMON MICHAELS has been re-elected unopposed to another four-year term as managing partner of BDO.
Michaels will do the role until 2016.
"This news is testament to Simon's strength of leadership and business vision," Mark Bomer, senior partner, BDO, said. "He has successfully captained our partnership through a stormy external economic climate over the last four years, and we are confident that he will continue to exploit the strong position we are in."
Michaels said: "I'm delighted to continue leading the firm in what is a fantastic role. Our partnership has proven resilient in the face of relentless market pressure, resulting in a strong reputation and financial position.
"Over the next four years, we will invest to grow the business, maintaining our focus on quality of service, efficiency and innovation, as well as exploiting a dynamic market in the ‘new world' we see around us."
Michaels was initially elected as managing partner in April 2008, having been with the firm since 1987 when he joined as a trainee.
He headed up the firm's business restructuring offering from 2004 until his election as managing partner.
