David Holtze appointed E&Y’s global tax leader

Ernst & Young have made David Holtze its global vice chair of tax

ERNST & YOUNG have appointed David Holtze as its global vice chair of tax. He will also become a member or E&Y's global executive, the organisation's highest management body, with both appointments immediately taking effect.

Holtze has been at E&Y for 30 years, and has been global chief operating officer for tax since 2008, responsible for monitoring the operations and financial results of the $6bn global tax practice.

Previously, Holtze spent nine years in New York, where he was first chief financial officer and then chief operating officer of the Americas' tax practice. From 1993 to 1999, he was the Midwest sub-area tax leader, based in Minneapolis.
