BAKER TILLY partner and head of special investigations Geoff Carton-Kelly is to leave the firm after nearly 15 years.
Carton-Kelly is to join FRP Advisory in a similar role. However, Accountancy Age understands that no start date or leaving date from Baker Tilly has been confirmed.
A statement from FRP said: "We can confirm that Geoff has agreed to join FRP Advisory. We look forward to agreeing a start date during the course of next year."
Prior to Baker Tilly, he was at BDO for more than 14 years, latterly as senior manager.
Carton-Kelly has worked on several high-profile cases, including as liquidator of Portsmouth FC.
The club collapsed in 2010 with UHY administrators Andrew Andronikou, Peter Kubik and Michael Kiely appointed. The club's assets, such as player contracts, was transferred to a new company so that the club could continue to compete.
The old company was liquidated in March 2011 with Carton-Kelly and David Hudson appointed joint liquidators.
Baker Tilly liquidators became involved in the club again when it collapsed for the second time in February this year – sitting on its creditors' committee.
David Hudson left the firm in December 2011 to set up a fund which invests in businesses.
