SCOTTISH accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael has announced a 6% increase in fee income in its financial results.
The firm, which scooped the National Firm of the Year gong at the British Accountancy Awards last month, saw fee income grow to £29.6m from £27.9m for the year to 31 May 2012.
The completion of a merger with Aberdeen-based firm Ritson Smith and the addition of an office in Stirling mean Johnston Carmichael now boasts 54 partners and more than 470 staff throughout 12 locations across Scotland.
Chief executive Sandy Manson (pictured) said: "We don't pretend that there will be any quick fix to the wider challenges for our economy. However, we are encouraged by the many examples of entrepreneurial companies continuing to invest and innovate – and similarly, we will continue to invest in our capability and expertise to serve our growing client base right across Scotland."
