TELEFÓNICA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Pilar Lopez has joined the board of building materials supplier Wolseley as a non-executive director.
Lopez (pictured) is currently CFO of Telefónica Europe. She joined the communications business in 1999 in its strategic planning department. Since then she has held a variety of finance and strategy roles across the European and Latin American businesses.
Prior to Telefónica, she worked in a number of roles at banking giant JP Morgan in its Madrid, London and New York offices.
Lopez becomes a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees on at Wolseley
Gareth Davis, chairman, said: "We are delighted to welcome Pilar to the Wolseley team. She brings a great deal of corporate and financial experience, having worked in a range of senior roles handling complex issues in global businesses. We look forward to working with her."
