A FORMER PKF INTERNATIONAL director has taken a CEO and chairman role at BDO Asia Pacific.
Australian-born Stephen Darley has been recruited to the newly created role as part of BDO's drive to support initiatives in the Asia Pacific area.
He has worked at RSM International's affiliated firm RSM Nelson Wheeler and spent 13 years at KPMG in a number of roles including manager in Australia, senior manager in Asia Pacific, associate director in Thailand, and director in Indonesia.
Darley, who will be based in Hong Kong, will be responsible for the operational oversight of the region, which includes market analysis, practice management and the development of member firms in the area.
The combined fee income of all the BDO member firms is $6.02bn (£3.82bn). The international network operates in 138 countries, employs about 550,000 people, and has 1,204 offices worldwide.
