In June, job vacancies fell by almost a fifth, with registrations down by a third, based on a six month average comparison, according to recruiters Alexander Lloyd.
Consequently the number of people being placed in new jobs fell by 15% after falling 12% in May.

He said: 'Finding experienced and qualified accountancy people who can fill specific positions requires understanding of accountancy functions and knowing how to find the right people.'
