Andreasen was suspended as chief accountant in 2001 by Kinnock (pictured above with EC president Romano Prodi) after she refused to sign off the commission's accounts.
She told Accountancy Age that her current suspension could have a direct bearing on her application for the internal audit post. 'If they feel I am not going to be re-incorporated, they will dismiss my application,' she said.
