The leading accounting practice software group Iris has made its second acquisition in the healthcare space with the purchase of Maclean McNicoll software.
The deal follows the buy-out of Ferguson GP software in September and means that Iris, in addition to its dominant accounting in practice position, now provides software applications to 10,000 GP practices in the UK.
Maclean McNicoll Software will join Iris accounting and business solutions business unit alongside Exchequer, Accounts Office and IRIS Bookkeeping.
'For customers, it will be business as usual: both businesses enjoy a high level of respect in the GP practice market and have an extremely loyal customer base which we will continue to nurture,' said Iris chief executive Martin Leuw.
