The former NHS chief information officer Richard Granger is understood to be joining KPMG in Australia as a partner of the KPMG Global Health Practice. It is believed his new posting will be global.
KPMG is said to have informally announced Granger’s appointment at an e-health conference in Melbourne, E-Health Insider reports.
The former NHS IT chief, who has the reputation of being Britain’s highest paid civil servant, let it be known he took a significant pay-cut to join the health service. At the time of his departure, Granger was paid £285,000 a year.
Before taking on the role of director general of NHS IT, Granger worked for big four firms Deloitte and Touche.
