Buchanan takes on both the chief executive and the chief financial officer roles with the company. The former chief exec, Richard Gundry, has become director of development to capitalise on growth in the business and former finance director and executive chairman Ian Robinson, becomes non-exec chairman.
Ian Robinson, chairman of London Town said: 'I am delighted to welcome Billy Buchanan to the Board; he brings with him a great deal of business experience and I look forward to working with him in the future.'
Buchanan trained at KPMG and has held FD/CFO roles with Ancor International, the 5-a-side football site operator, and software company Innoprise.
He was most recently a consultant for German Leisure Company.
