Bulmer has 68% of the British cider market, so it doesn't look like a company that needs to worry about the future. But, at just Pounds 225m, Bulmer Holdings, the plc which encompasses the Hereford operation, wholesale activities and an international business, is a small- to medium-cap company in a market where analysts are focusing on the big boys. The message from analysts was blunt: get taken over, go private - or grow.
