RSS feedsSpanish renewable and conversion energy solutions vendor Zigor has opened a UK headquarters and distribution centre to expand on its channel.
Based out of Northamptonshire, the vendor told CRN that it plans to test the UK marketplace with the release of new products and to recruit at least 200 UK partners by the end of 2009.
Online VAR Misco is currently Zigor’s only UK partner, but Christine Hawkins, managing director of Zigor, revealed plans to sign two large distributors in the near future.
“Zigor wants two large distributors in the UK and no more than 200 partners as it does not want to flood the marketplace. We have spent the last 10 years growing in Spain, but realised there is a huge opportunity in the UK market,” she said.
Hawkins said Zigor offers its partners a two-year warranty on its products and does not believe in repairs: “Products are not repaired, they are replaced.”
Hawkins claimed UK customers and partners of Zigor will benefit from better access to Zigor’s portfolio, which includes domestic uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, high-end industrial solutions, solar panels and wind turbines.
