Stanchart's Richard Meddings joins FD Summit 2009

Richard Meddings, finance director of Standard Chartered – one of the only banking groups to have survived the crisis virtually unscathed – is one of a clutch of top FDs confirmed to speak at this year’s FD Summit.

By Melanie Stern

Meddings will be joined by other top FTSE-100 FDs including Richard Pennycook the man who revived the fortunes of Wm Morrison after its disastrous Safeway acquisition and FTSE-250 FDs including Stuart Bridges of insurance specialist Hiscox.

PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Tony Lomas joins us as he leads the complex administration efforts at Lehman Brothers UK and Europe.

Delegates will also hear from public sector FDs including Helen Kilpatrick, Home Office FD, while HSBC chief economist Dennis Turner, a regular Financial Director columnist, will share his insights.

The exclusive, annual, two-day meeting on 17-18 September sees some of the country’s top finance directors discuss how they are surviving and benefitting from the most challenging environment in a generation.
