The 2005 Financial Director Salary Survey

The ninth Financial Director Salary Survery shows there are now 19 FTSE-350 FDs who earn more than a million pounds a year. The main driver is bonuses, not salaries - so performance is still the key to success.

With 19 millionaire finance directors now officially occupying the FTSE-350
it is clear that UK plc is having to dig deep to pay for the considerable
talents a competent FD brings to the table.

Increases in regulation, the emergence of international accounting standards
and improvements in corporate governance all add to the FD’s workload. Expect a
few more millionaire FDs in next year’s survey.

We have gathered together the last five years salary surveys below so you can
see how things looked back in the heady days of 2001, compared with how they do
today.
