Brixton Estates was one property group we always reckoned had an artificially low share price, and we could never quite figure out why a financial services group should call itself Cattles. Probably the worst company name was the London-quoted African mining group, Wankie Colliery.
But, believe it or not, we've now found one that's worse. According to a research circular we've been sent by Salomon Smith Barney, there's a consumer durables company in Turkey that is called Arcelik. We understand that, having done a thorough bottom-up analysis, Salomons are bullish about its prospects.
