Big companies call IT halt

Financial Director, Financial Director, 23 Apr 2002

Larger companies are more likely to put IT projects on hold due to economic conditions, according to a Vanson Bourne survey of 100 UK IT directors for JD Edwards.

Half of respondents with revenues of £250m+ said they had put projects on hold, compared with less than a third of businesses with revenues between £50m and £250m.

However, a majority of those surveyed said electronic interaction with partners and suppliers had increased over the previous six months and 45% plan collaborative IT projects in the near future.
