Former ARM chief financial officer joins IP Group board

Jonathan Brooks will become chairman of the group's audit committee with immediate effect.

IP GROUP, a developer of intellectual property based businesses, has appointed Jonathan Brooks, the former chief financial officer of ARM Holdings, to the board as non executive director and as chairman of the group's audit committee with immediate effect.

In addition, Roger Brooke, who has been a director of IP Group for nearly 10 years, is retiring from his position of non-executive director.

Brooks was the CFO of ARM Holdings from 1995 until 2002 where he managed the dual-listed IPO process of ARM on the London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq in 1998.

He is currently a non-executive director of Aveva Group, a provider of engineering data and design IT systems, and Nasdaq-listed Xyratex, a provider of data storage systems.
