John Sutcliffe steps up to Henry Boot CEO role

Sutcliffe moves up from FD to CEO at Henry Boot

A BOARD reshuffle will see group FD John Sutcliffe take the chief executive role at land development and property company Henry Boot.

A succession plan will see chief executive Jamie Boot move to the role of non-executive chairman, replacing John Brown. Boot joined the company in 1979, before taking the MD role in 1985. Sutcliffe, FD for the past nine years, will step up to the chief exec position. Replacing Sutcliffe will be group financial controller Darren Littlewood.

A team of three non-execs will join the business as part of the process. Joanne Lake, Peter Mawson and Gerald Jennings will join at the end of the year.

“The business operations and longer-term strategic goals of the Henry Boot Group have been extremely well managed by this team, and I feel very confident that Jamie, John and Darren will take Henry Boot from strength to strength in the future,” said chairman John Brown.
