Embattled Camelot, the lottery operator, finally has a champion, but it may not be as strong as the political and media voices urging special taxes and other means of stopping Camelot making so much money.

Camelot finance director Peter Murphy is forever having to explain why the consortium is not ripping off punters, the government and everybody else.
