Recruitment firm urges softly softly management style
Remember this next time you are about to deliver a rocket to your staff: the best managers are softies at heart.
That is the message from recruitment firm Robert Half, which claims that Britain’s top managers are not fixated on profits and takeovers or office politics, but like the people they work with and value their company.
To be fair, though, that applies mainly to personnel managers. Financial types prefer the company of figures and a tough challenge. But they still don’t want to be knifed in the back.
