Appointment at Ernst & Young.
David Cannon, currently chief financial officer at BZW, the former investment banking arm of Barclays, is to join Ernst & Young as managing partner.
He will start his new position in April and will head the financial services office. Cannon is very familiar with Ernst & Young having previously spent twenty years there specialising in investment banking sales and trading. He spent nine years as a partner with the firm and most recently was in charge of its capital markets group. He replaces Robin Heath who joins Ernst & Young’s UK executive taking responsibility for the firm’s London operation.
