Not on the move ...

This month we are pleased to be able to announce that there are two high-profile FDs who aren’t going anywhere. In attempt to maintain some semblance of continuity amid the tide of turmoil sweeping through management echelons of Barclays, FD Oliver Stocken has announced plans to delay his retirement. Stocken, who has been with the bank since 1979, was elevated to the FD’s chair in 1993. Also staying put is ScottishPower’s Ian Russell who, following the mega-utility’s merger with PacifiCorp, not only remains with his feet firmly under the FD’s desk but also becomes deputy chief executive. Russell, 45, joined ScottishPower in 1994 from conglomerate Tomkins. Appointments announcements can be faxed to Martin Coyle on (0171) 316 9250.
