Euro wariness increases

UK business is still wary of the euro, according to two new surveys.

Bibby Financial Services says confidence among UK exporters in the euro has fallen 18% since 2000, with less than half now believing the UK should join the euro.

Grant Thornton’s European Business Survey indicates that while over two-thirds of EU-based companies feel the euro will have a beneficial impact on their business, half of UK SMEs think the opposite.
