Former Andersen partner becomes top SEC accountant

Scott Taub appointed acting chief accountant after Nicolaisen's departure

A former Andersen partner has been installed as acting chief accountant at US
financial regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission

Scott Taub has been appointed to the position by SEC chairman Christopher Cox
following the departure of Don Nicolaisen in October after two years in the
position

Taub has been deputy chief accountant at the SEC since September 2002, but
prior joining the watchdog he was a partner in the professional standards group
in Andersen’s Chicago office.
