Electronic payment systems giant in talks with chartered accountant Tim Cobbold
DE LA RUE, the electronic payments systems giant is in talks with chartered accountant Tim Cobbold about becominng chief executive.
Cobbold was formerly CEO of Chloride group, the electrical power solutions company.
“De La Rue plc notes media speculation regarding the appointment of a new chief executive officer and confirms that it is in advance discussions with Mr Tim Cobbold, its preferred candidate,” De La Rue said in a statement to the City.
“De La Rue has been very pleased with the large number of extremely high calibre candidates the role has attracted. The discussions have not yet been concluded and a further announcement will be made in due course.”
