Bloomsbury FD takes on Huntsworth role

The former finance director of Harry Potter publisher's Bloomsbury takes on group FD role at Huntsworth

BLOOMSBURY PUBLISHING’s finance director Colin Adams is set to take on a similar role at consultancy business Huntsworth.

Adams was previously at the Harry Potter publisher for 16 years, having been group finance director since 1994. He is expected to join Huntsworth as group FD in April 2011 as soon as his “contractual obligations” allow.

In 2007 he was appointed to the investment committee of the Creative Capital Fund, an equity fund that helps entrepreneurs and businesses in London’s creative industries.

Adams succeeds Tymon Broadhead who steps down, following a handover, during the first half of 2011.

Peter Chadlington, CEO of Huntsworth, said: “Colin is a media heavyweight with an outstanding track record in the sector. I’m confident he will play an important role in helping us take the group to the next stage of its development. Tymon’s contribution to the development of Huntsworth has been exceptional and we wish him well for the future.”
