Harry Potter publisher conjures up new FD
Wendy Pallot to take over at Bloomsbury in April
(Acciuntancy Age) HARRY POTTER publishers Bloomsbury have appointed a new finance director in Wendy Pallot who takes over in April.
Pallot is currently one of the founders of a group of independent radio station but was formerly FD GWR Group, which merged with Capital Radio in 2005 and GCAP, the then owners of Calssic FM. GCAP was acquired by Global Radio in
Jeremy Wilson, chairman of Bloomsbury, said Pallot was an “an experienced finance firector of UK Main Market listed media companies with specific experience of acquisitions and growing entrepreneurial media businesses”.
Bloomsbury not only has Harry Potter in its stable but authors such as William Boyd, Will Self and Elizabeth Gaskell.
Pallot takes over Colin Adams who leaves the publisher in April.
