CABLE&WIRELESS CFO Tim Weller is to take an equivalent role at oil and gas mining business Petrofac.

Weller joined Cable&Wireless as CFO in May 2010 and will now succeed Petrofac’s CFO Keith Roberts (pictured), who retires from the business at the end of the year.

Previously, Weller worked in various senior finance roles including CFO of United Utilities for four years, FD at RWE Thames Water and FD of Innogy, now NPower.

He currently works as non-executive director at both the Carbon Trust and BBC Worldwide.

Ayman Asfari, group chief executive, thanked Roberts for his time with the company, wishing him the best for the future. He also welcomed Weller to the group.

“We have ambitious growth plans and I know Tim will bring a fresh perspective to future challenges. I am looking forward to working with him as we begin this new chapter in Petrofac’s journey,” he said.
