Mazars announces 12 new partners

Firm appoints five external recruits and promotes seven internal staff members

MAZARS has announced the appointment of 12 new partners, including five external recruits.

The recruits include Dario Garcia, who was global head of VAT and transfer pricing at Barclays Bank and joins as a VAT partner in the firm’s London office. Adrian Godfrey, from Haines Watts joins the South West business unit, and Catherine Hall, who works in Deloitte’s tax team, joins the South East business unit. Nigel Hutchinson, a tax partner at Scrutton Bland, joins the London office in the financial planning team.

The internal promotions include four partners in the London office, in audit, tax and consulting, two in Milton Keynes, including an insolvency partner, and a tax partner in Birmingham.

David Evans, Mazars‘ senior partner, said: “The firm is genuinely dedicated to building and growing our business, and we’re investing to achieve that. As part of this strategy, we’re proud to welcome several highly talented new partners.

“They will each play a key role in developing core growth areas over the coming years. The rest of the partnership extends a warm welcome and we wish them every success in their new roles.”

Earlier this year, several members of the firm’s audit team based in London joined Crowe Clark Whitehill, and Mazars has seen many of its tax partners leave the London office in recent years.
