INTERNATIONAL information and communications technology group Datatec has appointed Rob Evans as chief financial officer with effect from 1 June.
He will be nominated to the board and become CFO-designate from 1 March. Ivan Dittrich, the group’s current CFO, has accepted the position of CFO of Vodacom and will leave Datatec in June after its full year results are published.
Having worked for Datatec earlier in his career as its UK finance director, Evans rejoined the Group in 2008, initially as an executive with oversight for the group’s emerging markets operations in Africa, India and the Middle East. Since 2010 he has been head of the consulting services division and was recently appointed chairman of Analysys Mason.
