Brit Insurance loses CFO to rival

Scott Egan will join Towergate, subject to FSA approval, from Brit Insurance where has been group CFO since January 2011

THE CHIEF financial officer of Brit Insurance has resigned from the board to join Towergate Insurance as group finance director.

Scott Egan will join Towergate, subject to FSA approval, from Brit Insurance where has been group CFO since January 2011.

Until the appointment of a successor, Nigel Meyer, deputy CFO, will assume additional responsibilities supported by Anthony Usher, group financial controller, Brit said.

Prior to his role at Brit Insurance, Egan spent four years at Zurich, as group chief financial officer UK, Zurich Financial Services and latterly as group financial controller.
