Ex-Northern Rock FD joins Phoenix Group
Jim McConville will join Phoenix Group on 6 June
THE FORMER FD of Northern Rock has been appointed as the group finance director of Phoenix Group.
Jim McConville, who is to receive £270,000 from Northern Rock after the nationalised bank was sold to Virgin Money, will join Phoenix on 6 June.
Before working at Northern Rock, McConville was at Lloyds Banking Group for over 20 years, where he held a number of senior finance roles, including FD of both Scottish Widows and the insurance and investments division.
Ron Sandler, chairman of Phoenix Group, said:”[McConville] has a track record of success and a deep understanding of both the banking and insurance sectors.”
