HEALTHCARE SOFTWARE provider EMIS Group announced the appointment of a new CFO at the same time as reporting first-half trading has been ahead of exopectations.

The company, which provides software to GPs and pharmacies, said that retiring CFO, Phillip Woodrow would be succeeded by Peter Southby, who will join the Group from ENER-G where he is the group finance director.

In its first half trading statement, EMIS said UK market share “remains strong” with 36.% of high street pharmacies and 52.2% of GP practices and that it holds net cash of £17.7m as at 30 June 2012.

Southby will join the group by no later than mid-November 2012.
