Ex-PwC and Ernst & Young partners head up FRC councils

Nick Land and Roger Marshall to chair FRC's audit and accounting councils

NICK LAND and Roger Marshall will head up the accounting watchdog’s councils.

The experienced senior practice heads will chair the Audit & Assurance Council and Accounting Council, respectively. The councils form the accounting and assurance governance divisions of the Financial Reporting Council.

Land served as Ernst & Young chairman for 11 years, in a 36-year career at the firm. Marshall (pictured), formerly an audit partner at PwC, led work on major clients including Zurich Financial Services and Lloyds TSB. He has served for several years as a member of the Accounting standards board. He is also a non-executive at Old Mutual.

The Audit and Assurance Council comprises Land, Russell Frith, Sue Harris, John Hughes, Ray King, Scott Knight, Paul Lee, Robert Talbut and Allister Wilson.

The Accounting Council comprises of Marshall, Nick Anderson, Richard Barker, Edward Beale, Peter Elwin, Ken Lever, Robert Overend, Andy Simmonds and Pauline Wallace.
