Digital Transformation » Technology » Evening With Financial Director: Facing the future of e-commerce

For a growing number of businesses, the opportunities offered by new online channels are unprecedented. But risk remains – and FDs are at the forefront of designing the next generation of online business pioneers.

But as the first line of defence against risk, the smart FD knows that an e-commerce business is only as good as the system underpinning it. So what are the big risks facing FDs in this space? Are businesses fully equipped to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the digital future? What does a robust and flexible infrastructure look like and what can the FD do to ensure the business is prepared to serve both new markets and develop existing revenue streams. In an economy where data is cheap but insight invaluable, how can the savvy FD sort through the noise to find the real signal by leveraging analytics? And do the opportunities offered by new structure data types really deliver on their promise?

Financial Director and Chase Paymentech have teamed up to discuss the issues facing tomorrow’s e-commerce business. We’ll be focusing on how the FD can lead change, manage risk and spot the opportunities appearing on the horizon.
