Baker Tilly hires Twinfield for enhanced online services

Top Ten firm looks to enhance its online accounting service with Twinfield contract

THE ONLINE accounting service of Baker Tilly has awarded a contract for the broadening out of its functionality to clients.

Baker Tilly Revas, the web-based outsourcing arm of the top ten firm, has chosen Wolters Kluwer-owned Twinfield to provide a broader range of services to clients, including more book-keeping automation and enhanced document scanning.

Mark Holland (pictured), partner with Baker Tilly and MD of Baker Tilly Revas, said: “We adopted Twinfield and some of its related partners to move our web-based accounting solution into a cloud environment. Revas was launched with an online accounting system that had been developed in 2006, so our partnership with Twinfield represents a new chapter in the development of this service.

The implementation was “rapid”, Holland added. Initial discussions with Twinfield began just a few months ago.

“Our main requirement was that Twinfield could integrate with our existing Client Portal system to make it as easy as possible for our clients, which it did. Early feedback has been excellent and there’s been a lot of interest. We’re looking to offer it to more clients in the coming months.”

Baker Tilly is ranked nine in the Accountancy Age Top 50 +50 Survey of Firms, with £171m in revenues.
