Spirent Communications company secretary promoted to CFO

THE COMPANY SECRETARY at Spirent Communications has been appointed as chief financial officer, as the telecoms company continues its strategy of promoting internal candidates to its top positions.

Rachel Whiting will become CFO from 1 February and will report to new chief executive and former chief financial officer Eric Hutchinson, who took charge of the company following Bill Burns’ resignation in September last year.

Whiting has worked for the group since 1986, during which time she has held a number of financial roles, including head of group tax with particular focus on business development and restructuring most recently adding the role of company secretary.

She will continue in her role as company secretary until a successor is appointed.
