Former Cobham CFO takes PayPoint chairman role

PAYMENTS PROCESSING company PayPoint has appointed Warren Tucker as chairman, having recently served as CFO of aerospace business Cobham.

He succeeds outgoing chair David Newlands, effective from the conclusion of the annual general meeting in July 2014. However, Tucker joins the company as a non-executive director and chairman-designate immediately.

He is a non-executive director and member of the audit committee at Reckitt Benckiser Group and a non-executive director and chairman of the remuneration committee at Thomas Cook Group.

Chief executive Dominic Taylor said: “David has made a fantastic contribution to PayPoint and has been instrumental to our success. We will all miss him and thank him for all that he has contributed during his time as chairman. We are delighted to have secured an excellent replacement in Warren and look forward to working closely with him in the future.”

Tucker added: “I am honoured and delighted to be joining PayPoint at an exciting time in its development and look forward to working with Dominic and all our talented colleagues in the future.”
