TOP 20 FIRM Saffery Champness has appointed PwC head of charities Liz Hazell as a partner, with effect from October this year.

In her PwC role, she is responsible for the firm’s overall approach to servicing more than 400 audit and non-audit charities.

She has advised the not-for-profit sector for more than 20 years, acting as audit engagement leader for a wide range of charities, including major service providers, grant giving foundations, livery companies and international non-governmental organisations.

At Saffery Champness, she will work alongside other London-based members of the firm’s not-for-profit practice group, including partners John Shuffrey, Cara Turtington and Russell Moore.

Hazell said: “I am very pleased to have been invited to join the Saffery Champness partnership. The firm’s focus on maintaining strong client relationships and its belief in a true partner-led service are both things which I care deeply about. The firm is a well-respected adviser in the not-for profit sector and I look forward to joining.”

Partner and head of Saffery Champness’ not-for-profit group John Shuffrey added:”Liz will bring with her a wealth of experience and I am certain that she will be a great asset to the firm. We are committed to recruiting the very best people so that we can continue to provide our clients with a service that is second-to-none.”
