UK clothing retailer Next said Monday that David Keens, its long-serving group finance director, will retire in March 2015 after 28 years at the company.

Keens, who served as FD for 23 years, will be replaced by Amanda James, currently Next Brand finance director shortly after the announcement of the group’s results next year.

James has been at Next for 18 years and led and has led the management accounting and commercial finance team since 2005, and was appointed commercial finance director in 2009.

ACCA-qualified Keens joined as group treasurer in 1986 before being apppointed to the board in 1991.
