Rebus appoints former HMRC man

Graham Webber joins Rebus as head of professional relations

CLASS ACTION SERVICES firm Rebus has appointed former HM Revenue & Customs man Graham Webber as its head of professional relations.

Webber’s tax experience stretches back to 1976 when he joined HM Revenue and Customs. He moved to Barclays in 1987, followed by Royal Bank of Scotland in 2000. He has specialised in high net worth private clients, financial trading, executive remuneration and big ticket leasing.

In 2007, Graham joined film investment company Future Capital Partners, specialising in the design and execution of tax efficient products for corporates and individuals.

Rebus supports investors who have been mis-sold or mis-advised on Unregulated Collective Investment Schemes (UCIS) and works on their behalf to help claim back losses incurred through poor investment advice.

Webber will primarily focus on business-to-business work. He will also be working in a technical capacity providing guidance on the complex schemes.

Rebus chairman Adrian Cox: “Having someone with Graham’s knowledge and background allows us to work with clients to better understand these already complex schemes and increasingly, the convoluted exit plans they are being offered and to advise on the best course of action. It also allows us to broaden the business-facing network we have, with Graham able to liaise with accountants, advisers and IFAs to help them advise their clients who have been potentially mis-sold.”
