Skrill appoints Lebara Mobile CFO as next finance chief

David Carke, a former divisional CFO at PayPal, joins online payments service Skrill

ONLINE PAYMENTS SERVICE Skrill has appointed Lebara Mobile CFO David Carke as its next finance chief.

Clarke, a former divisional CFO at PayPal, will replace Nilesh Pandya. Stepping down from the role, Pandya remains at the company and is now senior vice president of its mobile network operator strategic initiative, a growing part of the business.

Clarke has considerable expertise in managing international finance operations in high growth, online and regulated environments, Skrill said.

Commenting on the appointment, Skrill Group chief executive officer Siegfried Heimgaertner said: “The appointment…demonstrates our commitment to delivering best in class online payment solutions to our customers worldwide. I have no doubt that David’s wealth of experience will enable us to reinforce and extend our current position at the heart of the online payments industry.”

Clarke held the position of group CFO at Lebara since April 2013. Prior to this he spent almost a decade working as VP and CFO EMEA for PayPal and also has held a number of senior finance roles with organisations including Logical, BroadVision, New Era of Networks Limited and Cantor Fitzgerald.
