ACCA seeks finance director to drive '2020 vision'

Glasgow-based FD role up for grabs at ACCA

A FINANCE DIRECTOR is sought for the ACCA, with its current incumbent set to leave later this year.

The role, advertised through executive recruiter Odgers Berndtson, reports to Raymond Jack, ACCA’s executive finance director and operations.

The Glasgow-based position invites chartered accountants from all the main UK bodies, including the ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW and CIMA.

The job spec references ACCA’s ‘2020 strategy’, where it has set out to be the number one institute for students and qualifieds in over the next five years.

“The director – finance will have a fundamental role to play in ensuring that throughout that period of growth and organisational change, the organisation remains financially sustainable and that financial resources are optimally aligned to deliver the strategy,” the candidate brief reads.

Odgers is also advertising for a new FD to manage the finances of Shakespeare’s Globe – with current FD Liz Fosbury set to leave after eight years to serve as finance chief for the National Theatre.
