SIMON BODDIE is to step down as finance director of Electrocomponents after exactly a decade in the role.
The former Diageo and Guinness finance professional will formally leave the business at the end of September in order to ensure a smooth transition for the company’s new group chief executive officer, and to give it enough time to find a strong successor.
Boddie, who trained with PwC and earned £914,000 in 2014, said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Electrocomponents. It is a great business with committed and talented people and I have been privileged to have been part of the leadership team during this period. After a decade with the business, I feel that now is the right time for me to hand over to a new management team and embark on the next phase of my career.”
Electrocomponents chairman, Peter Johnson, said: “The board thanks Simon for his committed service to the company over the past 10 years as a key member of the leadership team. We will work together to ensure a smooth transition and wish Simon the very best for the future.”
