ACCOUNTANCY FIRM Grant Thornton is looking for a new finance director.
The Big Six firm is on the lookout for a new recruit, who will be reporting to its head of infrastructure and finance, to manage the accounting environment in terms of the preparation of statements and management information.
The FD role encompasses all the core elements of accounting and finance, including proactive management of the balance sheet, analytical decision-making supported by the department, finding efficiencies and working with the auditor.
The recruit will also have to oversee GT’s finance team in Northampton, where a shared services centre is operated. Experience of managing banking relationships, as well as dealing with defined benefit schemes, is also desirable.
