Ex-Dixons CFO rejoins as deputy chairman

Lord Livingston, former Dixons CFO, takes deputy chairman role at Dixons Carphone

THE FORMER finance chief of Dixons has rejoined the business as deputy chairman.

Lord Livingston, one of the UK’s most senior finance professionals, joins the board of Dixons Carphone alongside former Asda/Walmart UK CEO Tony DeNunzio.

Livingston served as Dixons Group CFO between 1996 and 2002, having worked with the business for more than a decade. He then took the CFO role at BT before serving as its retail CEO between 2013 and 2015 he was minister of state for trade and investment.

Sir Charles Dunstone, chairman, said: “I am very pleased to be able to announce the appointments of two such experienced and talented new members of our Board. I feel that, in Ian and Tony, we have found perfect additions to our distinguished board, which give us very helpful additional expertise in our core business of retail and our developing telecoms and B2B services areas.”

Current deputy chairman Roger Taylor has stepped down, along with John Gildersleeve.

Dixons Carphone’s current CFO is Humphrey Singer, who joined Dixons-owned Currys as FD in 2007. He took the Dixons Retail group FD role in 2011 before taking the top role of the merged Dixons and Carphone Warehouse.
