Helios Underwriting appoints new FD

LLOYD’S CARRIER Helios Underwriting has announced the appointment of Arthur Manners as finance director with immediate effect.

Manners joins the company on a part-time basis as he is also FD and compliance officer for insurance consultancy Total Risk Solutions. Since June 2015 Manners has been acting as a consultant to Helios.

The chartered accountant has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry and was previously acting as finance director and group company secretary at London Stock Exchange listed insurer Beazley Group.

Sir Michael Oliver, non-executive chairman of Helios Underwriting, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Arthur to the HUW Board; he has been working with us since June last year and, with his extensive financial and insurance experience, he has been making a valuable contribution to the Company as our business continues to grow.”
